Terms of use
Your agreement is with the Backpack company that serves your region, not with a single global entity; this page summarises eligibility, fees, risk acknowledgements and dispute terms and points to the binding User Agreement on the support host.
Version dated . Concept summary, pending review by counsel.
This page summarises the agreement between you and Backpack. It is not the contract: the binding text is the User Agreement on the Backpack support site.
1. Who you contract with
Your counterparty is the company that provides the product where you live:
- European Union: "Trek Technologies" SIA for crypto services and Trek Labs Europe Ltd for perpetual futures.
- Dubai: Trek Labs Ltd FZE, for UAE residents it has onboarded.
- United States: Trek Labs, Inc.
- Stock brokerage: Trek Brokerage Services Limited, as intermediary broker under the Backpack Securities Brokerage Services Terms of Service, in the text served to an EU address.
No source read names the contracting company for other regions. Numbers and register links are on the page that sets out the company and licence for each region.
2. Eligibility
The User Agreement, not this summary, decides who may open an account and where a service is offered. No list of restricted countries is printed here because none is in the sources read. One limit is published: the Dubai licence does not cover futures or margin trading, so those services are not available in the UAE.
3. Fees, orders and settlement
Trading fees depend on your fee tier, which is recalculated hourly, and are listed in the current fee schedule. How orders are matched, settled and cancelled is set by the User Agreement and, for Dubai clients, by the Exchange Trading Rules in the VARA disclosures.
4. Risk acknowledgements
By using the services you accept that crypto-assets are volatile, that leveraged positions can be liquidated and that you may lose the amounts you invest. Backpack states that it is a financial services platform, not a bank. Each product's risks are in the risk disclosure.
5. Disputes and governing law
Governing law and the court or arbitration body are set by the User Agreement and may differ by company; they are not restated here. Before any formal step, read how complaints are handled. The privacy notice covers personal data. To close an account or have data deleted, write to support; the process is not described in the sources read.
