Spot and perpetual futures share one margin system. The exchange sitemap listed 87 spot markets and 103 perpetual markets on 6 October 2026. Tier 1 futures fees are 0.02% for makers and 0.05% for takers. Perpetual futures are not offered in the UAE.

US stocks and ETFs around the clock

US stocks and ETFs trade 24 hours a day, five days a week, through traditional US markets. From Friday 8 PM to Sunday 8 PM ET, and on US market holidays, orders go to Backpack's own market. Purchases are funded with USDC, USDT or a USD wire. The value of shares can fall as well as rise, and you may get back less than you invest.

Who provides Backpack where you live

CySEC, VARA and ESMA registers read 11 Oct 2026

No single licence covers every product in every country. Find your region below. The product-by-region table sits on the licences page, with licence numbers and register links for every entity.

European Union EU

Crypto services are provided by "Trek Technologies" SIA, authorised as a crypto-asset service provider by Latvijas Banka on 27 May 2026 (LEI 6488C2PNI17093U2YA18, ESMA interim MiCA register). Perpetual futures are provided by Trek Labs Europe Ltd, licensed by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) as a Cyprus Investment Firm, licence no. 273/15, dated 23 April 2015 (CySEC register entry). Neither covers the stock brokerage, and no source names an EU company for lending.

Dubai and the UAE UAE

Trek Labs Ltd FZE is licensed by Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) for Exchange Services, VASP Licence VL/23/07/001, issued 30 October 2023. Search the VARA public register for "Trek Labs". The licence covers spot trading for UAE residents onboarded by that company. It does not cover futures or margin trading, which are not available in the UAE.

United States US

Trek Labs, Inc. is registered with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) as a Money Services Business, registration no. 31000339714338, and lists NMLS ID 2665675. A registration is not a licence. State money transmitter licences are set out on the licences page; several states are shown as coming soon. Numbers can be checked in the FinCEN MSB registrant search.

Stock brokerage and other regions

The live stock pages, as served to an EU address, name Trek Brokerage Services Limited as intermediary broker and describe it as licensed by the Anjouan Offshore Finance Authority. No licence number is shown. The brokerage is not provided under the CySEC, MiCA or VARA licences. For readers outside the EU, the UAE and the US, the sources name no contracting company.

Send a complaint to support@backpack.exchange. Under the Dubai procedure, which applies to clients of Trek Labs Ltd FZE, a complaint is acknowledged no later than one week after it is received. The sources show no complaints procedure for the other companies.
